Review

The movie has a very interesting storyline. It contains many twists and suprises that will constantly keeps you interested in the duration of the movie. The story shows how much it takes to change someone. Before he was introduced to magic, Doctor Strange was a man who was spoiled, rotten, and only cared about his job more than his patients. He is afraid to get his reputation tarnished from highly difficult surgeries that he deems impossible, eventhough he is able to pull it off. What took hime to change was to break his hands, go bankrupt, and loose his job in order to start a change. He still contains his old motifs, but not until he was introduced to magic. He learned many things, and viewed the world differently. In the end of it, he changed to a man who cares, and protects the world. Most stories usually have the same basic storyline, such as the hero saving the day, but they mask it with the concepts and fiction that make the story interesting. It almost feels like this movie was design to get you interested to buy the comics. Doing background research after my viewing, they took some of their best concepts and put it into the move such as (Warning-Spoilers): the moment when Doctor Strange goes into his spirit form to operate on himself after an injury in a hospital. That was taken straight out of the comics, from one of the better comics. What I'm trying to convey here is that the movie is consisted of the best concepts and ideas they ever had for him, so there might not be anything else interesting about him when you do background research. Keep in mind that they can expand pon him to make him very interesting. Overall, Doctor Strange is a good movie, that packs the majority of his best moments to mask the basic storyline.
